This is an original prototype of the classic Andersen straight mug designed by Weston in blue stripes painted by Brenda, The hand written signature on the bottom says only "Andersen Maine" identifying that it was created before the concept of Andersen Design as a brand was fully realized, circa early fifties.3 inches tall, 2.75 inches in diameter. Slip cast in white stoneware, glazed in original white claze created by Weston and decorated in blue ceramic decorating color, also created by Weston.
